What is on offer at the Centre?

Oldham Cancer Support Centre provides a confidential service to anyone living with cancer who requires further information on:


• Cancer Information
• Specialist benefits advice
• Counselling
• Complementary Therapies
• Practical & Emotional support

You will be able to talk to a member of staff in confidence about any of the above services.

All our staff are volunteers who have ongoing training to provide a quality service for the Centre and its service users.

Who can access this service?

Anyone living with cancer and over 18 years of age.


Is there a charge for this service?

The service is free of charge. However as we are a voluntary organisation any donations would be much appreciated and help towards the running cost of theCentre.

Patients must be registered with a GP.

A referral from a GP will be required to be eligible for a complementary therapy.

Can I just come into the Centre for a therapy or counselling?

No: A booking system is in place to ensure that a therapist is available,

I have limited mobility and cannot get to the Centre alone. How can you help me?

We have a bank of volunteer drivers we can call upon who will collect you and bring you to and from the centre at a pre-arranged time.

The service offered by the Centre has been developed with the needs of local people in mind.
